Martha E. Bombard

Queensbury*  Martha E. Bombard, 90, formerly of Pilot Knob, passed away, surrounded by her loving family, Saturday, May 26, 2012 at the Stanton Nursing and Rehab Center. She had also previously resided at The Terrace at the Glen.


She was predeceased by her parents, Wilfred and Rose (Lynch) Brodeur and her sister Anne Webster. On May 25, 1946, Martha married Robert Bombard. He passed away May 26, 1977. For 17 years, Martha and her husband Robert owned and operated Martha's Inn in Hudson Falls.


Survivors include her children, Monica Hemmett of Lake George, Martha McKinney of Surfside Beach, SC, Robert T. Bombard of Pilot Knob and Wilfred L. Bombard and his wife, Linda of Boulder, CO.; her sisters, Margaret Brodeur, Kathleen Brodeur and Lucille DelSignore, all of Queensbury; her brother-in-law, Wesley Webster of Connecticut; her 10 grandchildren, Dr. Michael Chase and his wife, Jennifer of Queensbury, Rochelle Guido and her husband, Dr. Michael Guido of Queensbury, Matthew Chase and his wife, Shana of Virginia, Kristen Geroux and her husband, James of Fort Edward, Andrea Bowden and her husband, John of Virginia, Cole Bombard of Florida, Robert Bombard, Andrew Bombard, Daniel Bombard and Matthew Bombard, all of Colorado; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.


A memorial mass will be scheduled at a later date, at St. Mary's/St. Paul's Church in Hudson Falls, NY.
